Education leads are sold to schools on program fit and judged on enrollments, not just contacts.

Seven of the 27 education companies in our directory work only or mainly in education; the rest are multi-vertical networks and call centers. The specialists screen for program, study format and schooling, and a few measure leads by conversions and enrollments.

In short

Education in our directory is two kinds of seller. Seven companies are education specialists: school marketing firms, enrollment agencies, student directories and a publisher network for schools. The other 20 sell education beside insurance, lending and legal. Across all 27, 21 offer real-time leads, 16 exclusive leads and 12 live transfers, and 11 publish screens specific to higher education.

The buyer is a school, and schools judge leads on what happens after delivery. A few sellers track each lead to its source and its outcome, one sets goals by cost per enrollment and cost per start, and one pays its publishers based on a score built from conversions and enrollments. A recurring screen is the job seeker who filled out a school form by mistake.

Juiced distributes the web lead side of this market. Each school or buyer funds a wallet, sets filters and caps by state, program and study format, and bids above your minimum so the highest bid wins the lead in seconds. Leads no buyer takes go to your own marketplace, where the price falls until someone buys. Warm transfers and inbound calls need separate call tracking.

What education lead companies sell

What the 27 companies in our education directory say they offer, read from their own websites.

Counts cover everything each company says it sells, which can include other verticals.

Real-time leads lead the table at 21 of 27, then exclusive leads at 16 and live transfers at 12, and the education specialists describe a transfer as a warm handoff to the school's admissions or enrollment team. Juiced distributes web leads, so transfers and calls need separate call tracking. Data, clicks, aged and shared leads each appear at 4 or 5 companies, mostly the multi-vertical sellers.

What education leads are screened for

Education sellers screen for whether the student fits the program, and the specialists add schooling, format and timing.

  • Program of interest. Most of the 11 companies with higher education screens capture the program the student wants, from certificates through graduate degrees, and one confirms the student expressed intent to attend the school.
  • Online, campus or hybrid. Six companies split online from on-campus study, and a few add hybrid, graduate and undergraduate levels, so a school only gets students for the formats it offers.
  • Schooling and eligibility. A few check prior education, academic qualifications or GPA history, and one publisher program accepts only high school graduates or GED holders who are not minors, in the United States or Canada.
  • Start date and aid. Several capture when the student wants to start and whether they need financial aid or can afford tuition, and one student directory adds nationality and a financial qualifier for international students.
  • Not a job seeker. One seller credits job seekers as returns, and one publisher program bars job listing pages and any promise of salary, job placement or hireability in its ads.
  • Interest confirmed on the phone. Several sellers confirm interest by phone before a warm transfer to the school, and one records verbal consent and the pre-qualifying part of the call.

What an education lead has to carry

Schools target by program, campus and study format first, then by state or nationwide. A few target by brand or audience, and the multi-vertical networks add state, ZIP code, demographics and custom filter sets.

Every lead type in Juiced starts with ten default fields. Add your own on top, and decide for each one whether it is required and whether the buyer receives it.

What you need to decide on a lead is not what you need to sell it

Every field carries four switches rather than one required flag.

Required for postMandatory when the lead is created: the full record you are selling.
Required for pingMandatory when checking which buyers want it. Usually a much shorter list.
DeliverableWhether the field is included in the data sent on to the buyer.
Hidden from API specKept off the public specification page.

Ping with state, zip, program_of_interest, area_of_study, program_level and education_level. That tells a school whether the student wants a program it offers and has the schooling to enroll, before any contact details are sent.

Specialists and multi-vertical sellers

Seven of the 27 companies work only or mainly in education: enrollment marketing agencies, school marketing and CRM firms, a student directory and a publisher network with a plugin that shows school offers on partner sites. They talk in the school's terms: inquiries, starts, enrollments and admissions teams.

The other 20 list education as one vertical among many, and their published terms are written for all of them. 21 of the 27 generate their own traffic, 10 run call centers or live transfers, 9 run a network or marketplace and 4 sell data or lists. If you sell here, decide which you are. A school expects program-level screening and enrollment reporting; a multi-vertical network expects a clean post and a consent record.

Schools judge leads on enrollments

A few sellers track each lead back to its source and forward to its outcome: one school CRM reports conversions by vendor and source, one agency ties goals to cost per enrollment and cost per start, and one marketplace sends disposition data back to publishers. Pricing follows: 18 companies price per lead, 5 per sale or action and 4 by bid or auction.

Keep a source sub ID on every lead and ask each school for enrollment feedback, then price or cut sources on what they produce. In Juiced, several schools bidding on the same student beats one school at a flat price, and the highest bid above your minimum wins the lead in seconds.

Insertion orders, pilots and returns

Most education sites do not say how buyers pay. Three work under an insertion order with the terms inside it, two invoice and two take a prepaid account. A few offer a pilot, a test batch or a sample before a longer program, and one offers a free test only to large buyers. Kyle's rule runs the other way: have each school or buyer fund a balance before the first lead, with no free samples and no promised volume by a date.

9 companies publish return terms: 5 credit invalid leads back and 4 replace them. Credit reasons include false information, disconnected phones, duplicates, wrong geography or vertical, failed filters and job seekers. Two say a lead the buyer reached, could not reach or found uninterested is not returnable, one does not accept returns on warm transfers unless the order says so, and one can end the relationship if returns pass a stated share. In Juiced, approved returns are credited back to the buyer's wallet.

Publisher rules written for schools

13 of the 27 buy from outside sources: publishers, affiliates, education lead vendors, call center partners and email publishers. Their rules are specific. One publisher program requires every lead to carry the program of interest and education level, bars minors, pre-populated fields, incentivized campaigns and promises of jobs or salaries, puts new sites on a probation period with lead caps, and pays only for valid leads the school pays for, at a rate set by the site's conversion and enrollment score. One network approves every supplier creative and asks suppliers to keep consent records.

On consent, 5 companies name a consent certificate or lead ID service, and one marketplace says it does not guarantee consent records are enough for the buyer's use. Some terms here contradict the marketing: two large sellers' terms say leads are not exclusive unless the order says so, and one site's homepage and pricing page disagree on exclusivity. Read the agreement, not the homepage. The rules themselves are published by the FCC and FTC.

How Juiced runs an education lead business

  1. Buyers fund a wallet

Each buyer adds funds before leads arrive and is charged as each lead is delivered. Approved returns are credited back to the wallet. No invoices to send and no payments to chase.

  2. Buyers set filters and caps, then bid

Each buyer filters on your fields and caps how many leads they take. They bid above your minimum, and the highest bid wins the lead in seconds.

  3. Delivery goes where the buyer works

By webhook into the buyer’s CRM, by email or by text.

  4. Unsold leads go to your marketplace

A lead no buyer takes is not dropped. It goes to your own marketplace, where its price falls until someone buys it outright or a standing buy order picks it up.

Frequently asked

Who buys education leads?

Schools: colleges, universities, career colleges and their admissions or enrollment teams, either directly or through agencies and networks. Seven of the 27 education companies in our directory specialize in education; the rest also sell other verticals to other buyers.

Are education leads exclusive to one school?

Usually, where it is stated. 16 of the 27 companies offer exclusive leads, and specialists describe leads as exclusive to each school or never shared with competing institutions. Two large sellers' terms say leads are not exclusive unless the insertion order says so, so check the agreement.

What should an education lead capture?

The program of interest, online or campus study, education level, when the student wants to start and, for some schools, financial aid needs. Put program_of_interest, area_of_study, program_level and education_level in the ping so a school knows whether it offers the program before it bids.

How do schools choose which students they get in Juiced?

Buyers set filters and caps. A school can filter on state, zip or county and on your custom fields such as area_of_study, program_level and program_of_interest, then cap how many leads it takes.

Why do education sellers screen out job seekers?

Some people fill out a school form looking for work. One seller credits job seekers as returns, and one publisher program bars job listing pages and any promise of jobs or salaries in ads. Write it into your return policy before the first lead.

Do education lead networks check publisher consent?

Several do. Five companies here name a consent certificate or lead ID service, and publisher programs review creatives, disclosures and consent language before traffic runs. The consent_certificate_url field can be marked deliverable so buyers receive it with each lead. The rules themselves are published by the FCC and FTC.

What do education leads sell for?

No prices are published here. Sellers rarely publish them, and what an education lead sells for depends on whether it is exclusive or shared, a web lead or a call, the geography, how fresh it is and how many buyers want it. The pay-per-lead pricing guide shows how to work out your own floor from cost and let buyers bid above it.

Does Juiced handle education calls or live transfers?

No. Juiced distributes web leads and delivers them by webhook, email or text. It does not track or route phone calls, so if calls are part of your product you need call tracking software for that side.
